Before London 2012
With a grant from the Lottery, “Awards For All” I am making a unique record of the London 2012 Olympic site in photographs and paintings. I will record the site as it was and is now, before it is changed forever. I will be incorporating the memories, stories and experiences of older people who have lived or worked in the area.
The work produced will consist of paintings , photographs and sound recordings (and possible a video) and will be displayed in a public exhibition in 2008.
I am still looking for people to participate in the project.
- Are you aged 60 or over?
- Do you live in or near Stratford?
- Would you like to share your memories of living and working in the area which will become the 2012 Olympic site?
